About

Supporting Ghanaian Scholars in Hong Kong

The Association of Ghanaian Scholars in Hong Kong is committed to fostering solidarity, unity, and knowledge sharing among Ghanaian students. Our mission is to build a supportive academic community that encourages interdisciplinary learning and collaboration both locally and globally.

Our History

As the years went by especially in the mid 2010s, more Ghanaians were gaining admission to HK universities. Concern for a coalition and common platform for these students were raised. The common platform was to assist everyone in their studies in HK.

Under the leadership of Dr Samuel Adjorlolo, AGS-HK was given birth to with Dr Razak Gyasi serving as the founding secretary. Drs Hannah Tetteh and Elizabeth Agyeiwaah served as the founding treasurer and organizers respectively.

An association which started with about 15 members can now boast of 35 members and many alumni working in various universities and research institutions here in HK and other parts of the world.
