The Association of Ghanaian Scholars in Hong Kong is dedicated to fostering solidarity, unity, and knowledge sharing among Ghanaian students. We promote interdisciplinary learning and support academic success locally and globally.

President’s Welcome Message

It is with great pride that I welcome you to the 10th anniversary of the Association of Ghanaian Scholars in Hong Kong (AGSHK). For a decade, AGSHK has remained committed to fostering solidarity, academic excellence, and mutual support among Ghanaian students in Hong Kong.

Through academic workshops, cultural events, and peer mentoring, we have built a vibrant community that bridges Ghana and Hong Kong. Our members continue to uphold a strong tradition of scholarly excellence and cultural pride, contributing meaningfully to both academic and local communities.

As we celebrate this milestone, we reflect on the achievements that have shaped our journey, moments of growth, resilience, and shared success. From Annual General Meetings to research symposia and our annual Ghana Independence Day celebrations, our collective efforts have deepened our connections and advanced our mission.

To all new and longstanding members, welcome. Your passion, ideas, and commitment are the foundation of AGSHK. I invite you to engage actively in our programs, support your peers, and help shape the future of this association.

Our History
As the years went by, especially in the mid-2010s, more Ghanaians were gaining admission to Hong Kong universities. Concerns were raised about the need for a coalition and a common platform for these students. The common platform was intended to assist everyone in their studies in Hong Kong.
